About Me

Andy Osterdahl: Please note that the attribution for the written articles here is (©) The Strangest Names In American Political History: Some Rights Reserved. If you decide to republish or use any of my writings, please keep this in mind. No one likes plagiarism. What else is there to say? I spend far too much time occupying myself with history oriented projects that most would deem eccentric. If I had to describe myself in a sentence, it would be "A purveyor of the historically obscure and the factually trivial." That pretty much sums it up! Have a question about someone posted here? Want to comment or contribute something? If so than be sure to visit the Strangest Names In American Political History Facebook page via the link above. Don't forget to "like" us on Facebook!! All of the writing on the individuals contained herein comes from my own hand, and I've tried to be as thorough as I can in regards to the research I've done, and try to mention any and all sources that have helped in my gathering the information, including old archived newspapers, state registers, Blue Books, state and county histories, etc.
